SurfaceTech Australia Pty Ltd provides a warranty to the customer in respect to the Gtechniq Platinum, Crystal Serum and Gold products applied to the vehicle on the Terms & Conditions set out below.

GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR GTECHNIQ PLATINUM, CRYSTAL SERUM & GOLD PRODUCTS

  • Any treatment/re-treatment of Gtechniq Platinum, Crystal Serum & Gold Products must be applied/re-applied by an authorised licenced Gtechniq Platinum, Crystal Serum & Gold applicator. If any treatment, repair or other work (excluding general cleaning of vehicle) is carried out on the vehicle without SurfaceTech Australia or Licensed Gtechniq Platinum, Crystal Serum & Gold Agents prior written authorisation, the warranty will be invalid.
  • Gtechniq Platinum, Crystal Serum & Gold Agents must be notified of failure of product performance within 30 days of occurrence. Failure to notify Gtechniq Platinum, Crystal Serum & Gold Agents within 30 days will relieve SurfaceTech Australia and Gtechniq Platinum, Crystal Serum & Gold Agents of all responsibilities under this warranty.
  • In regards to Gtechniq Gold products & Rust Protection Units, the customer is required to have the vehicle inspected at either a Gtechniq Gold Agent or Car Dealer every 12 months from the first date of application/installation plus or minus 30 days. Authorised agents may at their discretion charge for their service; a visit by a Gtechniq representative will incur a fee.
  • In regards to Gtechniq Gold products, the customer may be required to undertake further application of Gtechniq Gold products to the vehicle as recommended by Gtechniq or by the Authorised Gtechniq Agent or Car Dealer during inspection.
  • In the event that any areas of the vehicle are repainted, then these areas must be retreated with Gtechniq Platinum, Crystal Serum or Gold Paint Protection, the customer shall have these areas retreated with Gtechniq Platinum, Crystal Serum or Gold Paint Protection by a Gtechniq Platinum, Crystal Serum or Gold Agent.
  • Vehicle must be continuously registered within Australia.
  • The Warranty will be void if the Terms and Conditions are not adhered to.
  • Warranty is Non-Transferable.

GENERAL EXCLUSIONS FOR GTECHNIQ PLATINUM, CRYSTAL SERUM & GOLD PRODUCTS

  • Customer neglect. ie. Failure to maintain due care of the treated surfaces will void the warranty.
  • Pre-existing damage or deterioration is excluded from this warranty.
  • Exposure to abnormal & harsh chemicals.
  • Failure to repair & retreat damaged areas.
  • Damage caused by any modifications to the vehicle.
  • Areas not treated with Gtechniq Platinum, Crystal Serum or Gold products.
  • Any claim in respect of damage caused by unusual atmospheric conditions including but not limited to hail or harsh chemicals.
  • Any claim for matters which are covered by a warranty provided by the manufacturer of the vehicle.
  • Any claim in respect of manufacturers imperfections.

TERMS & CONDITIONS APPLYING TO THE WARRANTY OFFERED IN RESPECT TO GTECHNIQ PLATINUM, CRYSTAL SERUM & GOLD PRODUCTS

  1. The warranty is only valid if the Customer & Vehicle information section is completed at the time that the Gtechniq Platinum, Crystal Serum or Gold product is applied and if your full details have been registered online within 30 days of application date.
  2. Any claim under the warranty must be notified via email or writing to SurfaceTech Australia Pty Ltd within 30 days of the customer first becoming aware of any matter giving rise to a claim in regards to Gtechniq Platinum, Crystal Serum & Gold Products.
  3. Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality.
  4. The granting of the warranty is conditional upon payment in full by the customer for the application of the relevant Gtechniq Platinum, Crystal Serum or Gold Product.
  5. The warranty is only valid if;
    • Following notification of a claim the vehicle is made available for SurfaceTech Australia’s inspection at its office (or such other place as SurfaceTech may nominate) at a time mutually convenient to SurfaceTech Australia and the Customer, such time during normal business hours (Monday to Friday, 9.00 am – 5.00 pm EST) ; and
    • The vehicle is subsequently made available to SurfaceTech Australia or such other persons as SurfaceTech Australia may stipulate in order that any treatment, cleaning, repair or other work may be undertaken.
    • Approval in writing must be obtained by the customer from SurfaceTech Australia before undertaking any work covered by the warranty. All work covered by the warranty must be undertaken by SurfaceTech Australia, an Authorised Gtechniq Platinum, Crystal Serum or Gold Agent or such person as SurfaceTech Australia may nominate. If any treatment, cleaning, repair or other work is carried out on the vehicle without SurfaceTech Australia’s written authorisation first being obtained, the warranty will automatically be invalidated.
    • In the event that the vehicle is involved in an accident which involves damage to any area treated by a Gtechniq Platinum, Crystal Serum or Gold Product, the warranty only remains valid if the affected areas of the Vehicle are retreated by SurfaceTech Australia or an authorised Gtechniq Platinum, Crystal Serum or Gold agent with the relevant Gtechniq Platinum, Crystal Serum or Gold Products at the customers expense within 30 days of the date of repair; Re-application of Gtechniq Platinum, Crystal Serum & Gold Paint Protection should be performed after the vehicle’s paint has been allowed to settle for at least 21 days.
  6. Warranty excludes the following claims;
    • Any claim in respect of matters pre-existing at the time of the application of the Gtechniq Platinum, Crystal Serum or Gold Product.
    • Any claim in respect of any Gtechniq Platinum, Crystal Serum or Gold Product applied other than by SurfaceTech Australia or a Gtechniq Platinum, Crystal Serum or Gold Agent.
    • Any claim arising from the customer failing to properly maintain the vehicle.
    • Any claim in respect of acts of vandalism or arising out of an accident involving the vehicle.
    • Any claim in respect of manufacturers imperfections.
    • Any claim arising from the vehicle being operated in a manner contrary to the manufacturers recommendations.
    • Any claim in respect of damage resulting from the use of the vehicle in a competition or motor sporting event, or where the vehicle is used on a beach, or in off-road driving conditions, or for the launching of boats or other marine vessels for other than occasional recreation use.
    • Any claim in respect of the load/tray area of a commercial vehicle.
    • Any claim in respect of a vehicle which has been subject to other than normal wear and tear.
    • Any claim where the vehicle has not been maintained in accordance with the Gtechniq Platinum, Crystal Serum & Gold Customer Care Page and Instruction.
    • Any claim in respect of damage caused by unusual atmospheric conditions including but not limited to hail or harsh chemicals.
    • Any claim in respect of any area of the vehicle which has not been treated with the appropriate Gtechniq Platinum, Crystal Serum or Gold Product.
    • Any claim arising from the installation of aftermarket parts and/or accessories including without limitation mirrors, luggage racks and mudflats.
    • Any claim in respect of surface rust, rust damage caused by moister trapped under trims and rubber mouldings or decorations.
    • Any claim in respect of damage to the paintwork caused by stone chips, rust or corrosion (where the area of the vehicle has not been treated with Gtechniq Platinum, Crystal Serum or Gold Products), abnormal chemical fall out or spillage, petrol spillage, scratching, abrasion, fire, panel repair or replacement.
    • Any claim in respect of deterioration to the paint work caused by the use of cleaning agents other than those commercially available for cleaning paintwork of passenger vehicles.
    • Any claim in respect of paint chipping, grazing or peeling.
    • Any claim in respect of the tearing or ripping of interior surfaces of the vehicle.
    • Any claim in respect of damage caused by acid, brake fluid, oil based paints, gum, paint, bleach or other corrosive substances.
    • Any claim in respect of damage caused by cigarette or cigar burns.
    • Any claim for matters which are covered by a warranty provided by the manufacturer of the vehicle.
    • Any claim in respect of surface rust resulting from chips, scratches or other damage to the paintwork of the vehicle.
    • Any claim for loss of time, inconvenience or loss of use of the vehicle or other incidental or consequential damages.
  7. The warranty shall immediately become null and void if any of the following occur;
    • If any panel or parts of the vehicle that would normally be treated under AS266/2 have been modified from the manufacturer’s specification.
    • If the vehicle has been subject to inundation / flood.
    • If the vehicle is at any time not registered for use on the roads of an Australian state or territory.
    • If the vehicle leaves the Commonwealth of Australia.
    • If the customer has been advised to have their vehicle retreated with Gtechniq Platinum, Crystal Serum or Gold products or undertake other works at an inspection and the customer has failed to do so.
  8. The above warranty does not exclude any conditions or warranties which are made mandatory by legislation, however other than as imposed by law, the terms and conditions of the warranty are wholly contained in this webpage / document and all other warranties to the extent permissible by law are expressly excluded.
  9. To the extent to which it is permissible, the liability of SurfaceTech Australia and Gtechniq Platinum, Crystal Serum & Gold Agents to the customer other than pursuant to the warranty contained in this webpage / document is limited to the re-application / re-installation of the appropriate Gtechniq Platinum, Crystal Serum or Gold products.
  10. If any of the provisions of the warranty are contrary to, prohibited by, or held invalid under any application law, that provision shall be considered inapplicable and omitted, but shall not invalidate the remaining provisions.
